This octagonal tent let me accommodate 50 chairs: 25 in each side and I used the between to put the runner aisle 2 pillars, a huge arch and a table; also space enough for 2 musicians and  we had plenty of room to walk”. Ease of Assembly

We would recommend that this wedding tent gazebo be set up once well ahead of the event that it is being used for.  One person who did that found that her tent gazebo was missing some parts, which the manufacturer, when contacted, shipped immediately. Another purchaser didn’t find out until her wedding day that her tent gazebo had a few issues, when she couldn’t get it to stay up.  This and the fact that this tent gazebo is water resistant, not waterproof (which is common) were the only things that kept people from rating this tent gazebo as a 5/5/.  Owners described this party tent gazebo as easy to set up, although the instructions could have been clearer, and said that it took 4 to 8 people to set it up.

Durability

The 29’x21’ Octagonal Wedding Party Tent Canopy Gazebo is intended to be up for special occasions only and not intended to be up for weeks or months on end.  Nonetheless, one owner reported that they’d left their tent gazebo up for two weeks and it “stayed up beautifully”. Since this tent gazebo is water resistant, not waterproof (which is common), it doesn’t handle very heavy rain well.  It does handle some rain: one owner said it had kept her dinner guests dry in a light rain.  Another owner reported that “We had a hard rain and were running out to push water off the top but it was too much and the tent collapsed “.  It would seem that preventative measures are best to avoid that happening. The first thing to do is to be sure the roof is very tight in order to encourage the water to shed better and not form pools on the roof. The way the peaks in the design of the roof are made is via a handle you can tighten by standing on the ground, thereby tightening the roof.  The way to strengthen the structure against collapse is to stake it well when you put it up and, if rain is expected, strengthen it further with more rope pulling the tent extra taunt from the grommets down to the bases. One owner who did this said that “no one seemed to mind the extra rope” and added “FYI use a hammer and block of wood to seat the poles that have buttons that spring into the holes”.

Durability

Like most fabric gazebos, the Outdoor Patio Home Havenbury Gazebo is water resistant, not waterproof. One owner did use two cans of silicone waterproofing spray to extend the life of his canopy. We would recommend that all buyers do this. Since the canopy is so taunt, there doesn’t appear to be any problems with water pooling, which is a big plus point as many other fabric gazebos have this issue.

Most owners find this gazebo very sturdy. Some had issues with damage from high winds when their gazebos weren’t anchored down but those who did anchor theirs had nothing but good to report. One owner’s gazebo flipped in the wind after three years of service but was able to be righted again with only one small strust being bent (they straightened). Another owner, however, reported that her unsecured gazebo was blown off her patio in 40 mph winds, all bent up and the canopy ripped.

One owner reported “several features helped us to make this purchase. First, the unit is put together with sturdy screws, not pop rivets or plastic connectors. Second, and probably most important, was that this unit comes with tubular legs”. Several other owners, who live in high wind areas, have filled the tubular legs with sand or pea gravel to anchor the gazebo even more securely. an owner who had bolted down the legs of his gazebo said they’d had “60 and 70 mine per hour winds and tornadoes in surrounding counties and the gazebo held just great”. Another owner commented on the venting on the roof, saying “the canopy is made so that even on windy days it’s like the wind blows right through the canopy”. Several owners mentioned that they had had their gazebos for 2 or 3 years already.

Other

A few people had issues with the effectiveness of the insect netting, commenting “there’s a pretty sizable gap between the ground and screen, and another gap between the screen and the canopy”, and “the separate center canopy with its’ ties leaves plenty of gaps for bugs to come and go freely”.

This screen house gazebo is a very economical choice and provides a large area of protection that can be used in a variety of ways.

Most owners are very pleased with this screen house gazebo, with the exception of one who was dissatisfied with the way his screen house wouldn’t tolerate heavy rain. This screen house gazebo is water resistant but not waterproof.  We would recommended that you treat this screen house with a water repellent spray before use and that you be sure to stake the tent with the canvas tight so rain has less tendency to pool.
