Overall, purchasers of this wedding party gazebo were very pleased with their purchase.  Comments were “Elegant & beautiful tent“, ”truly perfect, transformed our backyard into a fairytale”, “beautiful style and sturdy“, “exactly what we were looking for”, and “Our guests were amazed at the transformation of our backyard”.  One owner commented that many people who attended the wedding want buy this party tent gazebo for their upcoming receptions.  Several owners bought this tent gazebo as an alternative to renting one for their wedding and were very pleased that they had done so since purchasing was just a little more than renting and they planned on using this tent gazebo for more weddings, family gatherings, and birthday parties.

One woman who had bought this party tent gazebo for her wedding ceremony reported that “this tent  comfortably seats 50 people inside. This octagonal tent let me accommodate 50 chairs: 25 in each side and I used the between to put the runner aisle 2 pillars, a huge arch and a table; also space enough for 2 musicians and  we had plenty of room to walk”. Another person who bought this tent gazebo for a wedding said that they were slightly cramped with around 60 people but with the sides open it was better.

Ease of Assembly

We would recommend that this wedding tent gazebo be set up once well ahead of the event that it is being used for.  One person who did that found that her tent gazebo was missing some parts, which the manufacturer, when contacted, shipped immediately. Another purchaser didn’t find out until her wedding day that her tent gazebo had a few issues, when she couldn’t get it to stay up.  This and the fact that this tent gazebo is water resistant, not waterproof (which is common) were the only things that kept people from rating this tent gazebo as a 5/5/.  Owners described this party tent gazebo as easy to set up, although the instructions could have been clearer, and said that it took 4 to 8 people to set it up.

Durability

The 29’x21’ Octagonal Wedding Party Tent Canopy Gazebo is intended to be up for special occasions only and not intended to be up for weeks or months on end.  Nonetheless, one owner reported that they’d left their tent gazebo up for two weeks and it “stayed up beautifully”. Since this tent gazebo is water resistant, not waterproof (which is common), it doesn’t handle very heavy rain well.  It does handle some rain: one owner said it had kept her dinner guests dry in a light rain.  Another owner reported that “We had a hard rain and were running out to push water off the top but it was too much and the tent collapsed “.  It would seem that preventative measures are best to avoid that happening. The first thing to do is to be sure the roof is very tight in order to encourage the water to shed better and not form pools on the roof. The way the peaks in the design of the roof are made is via a handle you can tighten by standing on the ground, thereby tightening the roof.  The way to strengthen the structure against collapse is to stake it well when you put it up and, if rain is expected, strengthen it further with more rope pulling the tent extra taunt from the grommets down to the bases. One owner who did this said that “no one seemed to mind the extra rope” and added “FYI use a hammer and block of wood to seat the poles that have buttons that spring into the holes”.

Positive comments were “ looked great and furnished good shade from the sun”, “looked great and is very sturdy”, “excellent product”,  “great product, great price”, “beautiful…easy assembly… we LOVE IT!… I highly recommend”, and “pleased with the attractive look, and the overall product quality. Some owners were disappointed that although this gazebo is water resistant, it isn’t waterproof.  This appears to be a common complaint with many of the fabric canopy gazebos. We would recommend that a buyer give the canopy of this gazebo a waterproofing treatment, easily available in a spray format, once this canopy has been first assembled.

One person said the elastic tie backs for the netting got stretched out and lost elasticity after only a few days of use.

Two owners thought the dimensions of the gazebo were off, with one surmising that it was only 9 ft. x 9 ft.

Summary

Most owners like the look, the easy of assembly, and the price of the DC America LQGO19323MBR-BB 10-Foot by 10-Foot Three Tier Gazebo with Insect Screen, but some had complaints about the durability of the canopy and were dissatisfied that the canopy was not waterproof.  This is a very nice looking gazebo for the price, but a buyer would be wise to give the canopy a waterproofing treatment, by spray, after first installing it.  That should help to prolong the life of the fabric.  Anchor the gazebo down, if possible, to prevent damage to the canopy from going over in strong winds and remove and store the canopy during the winter months.

Replacement canopies are available, the frame appears solid, the insect screening is included, assembly is relatively easy, and the price is quite reasonable. From our research, it appears that most fabric canopies are not waterproof, merely water resistant.  Though the fabric on this gazebo doesn’t appear to be the best quality, if you give the canopy proper care and don’t mind having to replace it after the first year or two, then go ahead and purchase the DC America LQGO19323MBR-BB 10-Foot by 10-Foot Three Tier Gazebo with Insect Screen.
