This screen house gazebo is a very economical choice and provides a large area of protection that can be used in a variety of ways.

Most owners are very pleased with this screen house gazebo, with the exception of one who was dissatisfied with the way his screen house wouldn’t tolerate heavy rain. This screen house gazebo is water resistant but not waterproof.  We would recommended that you treat this screen house with a water repellent spray before use and that you be sure to stake the tent with the canvas tight so rain has less tendency to pool.

Size

Owners of this large screen tent gazebo love the size. One owner uses it for camping and for the backyard.  She said that when camping “it helped keep the kids nearby. They had room to move….and we also set a pack-n-play in one corner for the baby”.

There were no comments on assembly.  This is a tent-style fabric gazebo, which would be amongst the easiest of gazebos to assemble.

Durability

Comments on the durability of this screen tent gazebo were varied.  The owner who had problems with rain said they’d “felt this would last us 2-3 years….the first real rain made the water pool on the roof….consecutive rains, allowed the tent to last for 5 weeks”.

Another owner, however, said “we had had our tent for 5 years…has worked great for camping and it was used all summer long as back yard extra protection for my daycare”.  This owner went on to add that “Wind would sometimes become an issue so instead of taking it down we threw a tie down over each end, held those in with corkscrew things that are used to hook dogs leash to. Helped hold it down. When we did this we were tornado ready.”

The Champion 12 X 20 Screen House Gazebo is a very economical choice and provides a large area of protection that can be used in a variety of ways, including camping, parties, and backyard protection for adults and/or children.

You do have to be sure this screen tent gazebo is staked tightly and that the canvas is not allowed to sag, so as to discourage rain pooling.  Since this screen house gazebo is water resistant and not waterproof, we would recommend giving it a waterproofing treatment, readily available in a spray format, after it is first assembled.
